Another Australian was the victim of a shark – BBC News

One of the residents of the east coast of Australia, Byron Bay has been the victim of a shark. Predators attacked a man at a time when he was bathing in one of the local beaches.

are nearby people have managed to get the victim to shore, but the wounds he died, according to ITAR-TASS. According to police, the victim was about 40 years old, his name has not been disclosed.

Over the past 100 years in Australia there was a total of 598 cases of sharks attacking people, 159 of which were fatal. Only in 2014, became the victims of shark attacks four Australian.
