Capsule manned spacecraft “Soyuz” landed in Kazakhstan – Russian Newspaper

Three members of the crew of the International Space Station (ISS) on the descent module of the manned spacecraft “Soyuz TMA-12M” returned to Earth. The capsule landed 148 kilometers south-east of the Kazakh town of Dzhezkazgan.

As ITAR-TASS in the Mission Control Center (MCC), that happened today at 06:23 Moscow time.

The Earth has returned Russian cosmonauts Alexander Skvortsov and Oleg Artemyev and NASA astronaut Steven Swanson. All three worked on the orbital complex of about 170 days. During this time, they served some spacecraft, as well as carry out an extensive research program. In particular, the Russians launched Artemyev Skvortsov and nano-satellite, having made two spacewalks.

Now on board the station are Russian Maxim Surayev, who became commander of the ISS instead of Swanson, American and European Uaysmen Reed Alexander Gerst.

The crew of a new expedition will travel to the ISS by the “Soyuz TMA-14M” from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on 26 September. The composition of the crew includes astronauts Roscosmos Alexander Samokutyayev and Elena Serova and NASA astronaut Barry Wilmore.
