Solar-powered aircraft began a world tour – BBC

solar-powered aircraft Solar Impulse 2 flew from Abu Dhabi, thereby starting a world tour. It is reported by BBC BBC .

At the moment the plane was heading to the Omani capital Muscat. It is expected that over the next five months, the vehicle will cross the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.

The Swiss pilots Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg that control the aircraft, from time to time will make stops in different parts of the world. On the ground, the pilots are planning a vacation, to service aircraft, as well as to agitate the local people to use environmentally friendly technology.

Before learned , that Solar Impulse 2 took to the skies for the tests.
