Russian archaeologists have found near the city of Vladimir unique discovery. During the excavations, scientists stumbled upon the ruins of the temple of rare early medieval period. Presumably, the ruins belong to the church, founded in the 12th century architects of the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire.
Discovered by Vladimir complex is unique in world history. There are only a couple of councils created in this style. Both of them are located in Western Europe.
The ruins are located in Bogolyubov, near the remains of the Orthodox Church of the Nativity of the Virgin. This cathedral was built during the reign of Bogolyubsky in 1158. The church stood about six centuries. After the destruction, on its ruins was built new.
Experts from the Archaeological Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences studied the ruins of the complex, and concluded that its creators were the architects. They were the subjects of the famous Holy Roman Emperor Frederick Barbarossa. His reign began with the 1155 AD. This monarch left his mark in history as a great classic of military art of the Middle Ages. Its main attraction was a red beard, which was the subject of nicknames of the emperor. Barbarossa had one of the largest armies of Europe at the time.
