The rocket “Soyuz” was successfully put into orbit the satellite “Resurs-P” – RBC

The satellite remote sensing “Resurs-P” has successfully entered into orbit. This was reported on the website of Roskosmos.

As specified in the message, the satellite launch was held at 21:56 on Sunday from the Baikonur Cosmodrome using a launch vehicle “Soyuz-2.1b”. After 9 minutes, 21 seconds satellite separated from the third stage of the carrier rocket at an intermediate orbit, to its management started the Mission Control Center.

In Roskosmos note that launched the satellite is the third in a series of “Resource-P”. Together with the previously launched spacecraft “Resurs-P» №1 and №2, as well as ground stations receiving the information, it will form a single comprehensive surveillance system, which will significantly increase the efficiency of the satellite constellation of remote sensing satellites in Earth orbit.

Start the “Union-2.1b” with the satellite it was possible only at the second attempt. The rocket was supposed to start from the Baikonur cosmodrome on Saturday, March 12, at 21:56 MSK. However, before the start triggered automatic cancellation of the launch. As a result, the launch was postponed to March 13.
