RBC 14.05.2013, Moscow 15:02:22 Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) on the basis of preferential voting recommend to the general meeting to elect the president of the Academy Academy 67-year-old Vladimir Fortova.
The Presidium consists of 56 academics, 55 of them took part in the vote. Now on the ballot in the elections of the academy, which will be held on May 29 2013., Surname recommended candidate will be in the first line, the rest will be placed in alphabetical order.
As previously reported, in the elections will also participate Nobel laureate Academician Alferov, Vice-President of the Academy Alexander Nekipelov. The current president of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yuri Osipov, withdrew his candidacy.
