Comet “Rosetta” in great detail – InFuture.ru – Feel the future!

The new data on the comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko admires scientists and the public.


 With each passing day the European automatic station “Rosetta”, which was launched March 2, 2004 in order to study the short-period comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko, ever closer to the surface, providing excellent scientists and detailed photos of the comet P67.

 Soon spuskaemy apparatus “Fila” will be launched on the comet’s surface, covered with dust and ice for an even more detailed study it. Scientists with trepidation expecting this moment, when it received even more exciting information about the comet.

 

 But despite the fact that the mission is not yet complete, the command of the mission “Rosetta” has to be congratulated on the success, as they had done a really fantastic job.

 

 And in the photo below is visible coma of the comet and release of evaporating ice from the comet.
