Representatives of “VKontakte” gave comments on the theft of usernames and passwords hundreds of thousands of users of social networks.
The day before, we recall, “Kaspersky Lab” announced that through Google Play store from mid-August spread Android-app entitled “Music VKontakte”, which is embedded malicious code to steal user credentials of social networks. From the actions of intruders affected a large number of subscribers, “VKontakte”, mainly from Russia.
The situation commented a spokesman for George Lobushkin social network. « We are not talking about breaking. People actually voluntarily gave their data to fraudsters. We have repeatedly warned that foreign programs can be dangerous », – quoted by RBC words of Mr. Lobushkina.

The representative of the “VKontakte” also stressed that the social network periodically detects applications with malicious functionality to Google Play and inform the administration of the web store. However, after the removal of such programs are new malware.
