The highest award in Physics for 2015 was awarded to two scientists from Canada and Japan – First Channel

The award will receive a 72-year-old Arthur McDonald, Professor Emeritus of the Canadian University Queens, and 56-year-old Takaaki Casita, which is at home head of the Institute study of cosmic rays, for “the discovery of neutrino oscillations, or to the presence of this fundamental particle masses.” For most of us, this topic is not that complicated … It is not clear what is at stake.

The neutrino – an elementary particle that is responsible for one of the four fundamental forces in the universe, namely the weak interaction, which underlies radioactive decays. According to the Swedish Academy of Sciences, the scientists changed the understanding of the opening of the internal mechanisms of matter and became a key to the perception of the universe.
