Roscomnadzor applied the law on pre-trial blocking to Livejournal - IT.TUT.BY

Roscomnadzor blocked the first four sites under the law “On Information”, amended by regulating pre-trial blocking of extremism, entered into force on 1 February 2014. This was reported at the site office.

One of blocked sites was on when Livejournal. Resource was introduced in a single register of illegal information, but the administration “LiveJournal” promptly remove said livejournal.com blog and was excluded from the registry, according to a press release Roskomnadzora.

Which sites have applied the law not specified. In Roskomnadzor noted only that the sites are blocked for “extremist information representing a threat to society and the individual”.

Under the new law, are subject to pre-trial blocking sites that published calls for riots, extremist activities and participation in public events held in violation of the established order. Illegal information reveals prosecutors who sends a request to close the resource Roscomnadzor.

Once upon request Roskomnadzora operators block page or the entire site, the authorities notify the resource owners. If they remove extremist information unblock them.
