China launched the spacecraft “Shenzhou-11″ – TASS

JIUQUAN /China/, 17 Oct. /TASS/. Chinese spacecraft “Shenzhou-11″ (“Sacred bark-11″) with two cosmonauts on Board went into orbit, solar panels are disclosed, communications are operating normally. The successful launch of the ship was announced in the hall of the command center of the cosmodrome Jiuquan.

the carrier Rocket Long March-2F (“Changzheng-2Эф”) took off at 07:30 local time (02:30 GMT) from the launch pad at the Baikonur Jiuquan (North-Western Gansu province). On Board the ship are taikonaut (from the Chinese “tycoon” – “space” – approx. TASS) – a 50-year-old Jing Hypen and 37-year-old Chen Dong. The ship went into orbit via 575 seconds after launch.

Solemn

three hours before the start of the missiles in the “star city” of Jiuquan spaceport held a solemn farewell of taikonauts. The crowd greeted them waving Chinese flags and bouquets of flowers. Hypen Jing, and Chen Dong, dressed in special costumes, reported on the readiness to fulfill its mission to the commander of the Chinese manned space program, General Zhang Call. The music of the military band, the astronauts proceeded to the bus which took them to the place of launch.

launch pad

Last-minute preparations for launch took place strictly in accordance with the plan. After the signal “Ready – 30 minutes” the staff of the spaceport began to gradually leave the launch pad away from her at a safe distance.

Finally came the countdown. After 10 seconds, revved the engines, the rocket took off and within minutes disappeared into the sky. The audience present at the launch were able to observe how separated from it stage, leaving a cloud of smoke.

mission

the Main goal of the mission is conducting a number of scientific and applied experiments in space. After docking “Shenzhou-11″ orbital module “Tiangong-2″ astronauts go on Board “the Tiangong-2″, which will run for 30 days.

In laboratory space there are 14 different types of scientific equipment, including the world’s largest high-sensitive gamma radiation detector, designed by engineers of China together with colleagues from the European space Agency. In the framework of the program of experiments is planned, in particular, to observe the development of plants in microgravity. In addition, the objects of study will be and the astronauts themselves, who, with the assistance of French experts will study the effects of weightlessness on their own cardiovascular system.

it is Expected that after the return of taikonauts to Earth, the orbital module will continue to collect scientific data in automatic mode. The estimated lifespan is two years.
