Presidency of the Russian Academy of Sciences supported the candidacy of academician Vladimir Fortova in the upcoming elections of the Academy.
This means that the name Fortova will go first on the list of candidates on the ballot. Besides that, the president of the RAS claim Alferov and Alexander Nekipelov. The acting head of the Academy, Yuri Osipov, first declare my intention to participate in the elections, later withdrew his candidacy.
Elections President of the Academy of Sciences will be held at a meeting of the RAS General Meeting on May 29, reports “Interfax”.
