scientists after the discovery of the asteroid made hasty conclusions, denoting the risk of collision as thousands 1:64, confessed to NASA. This asteroid weighing 400 tons are much more likely to cross Earth’s orbit while passing by the planet, and face it – four times higher than the previously stated figure, or 1 chance in 14,000.
Recall: an asteroid collision with Earth is expected in 2032, with the proviso that the orbit of a celestial body will remain unchanged.
Deputy Prime Minister Dm.Rogozin said that a celestial body is paramount and an extremely important goal for the domestic space. Roskosmos and the Russian Academy of Sciences has already started to plan to work together to protect the planet from asteroids.
