Roscomnadzor notified Facebook , Gmail and Twitter about the need to register in Russia as companies that disseminate information.

(MOSCOW, September 27 – LivDA.ru) Roscomnadzor notified Facebook, Gmail and Twitter about the need to register in Russia as companies that disseminate information, reports ITAR- TASS referring to “Izvestia».

«These three resources need to decide on the placement of its data centers in Russia and the laws of the bloggers. They are ready and willing to obey the law », – told the deputy head of the department Maxim Ksenzov .

We recall this summer, President Vladimir Putin signed a law that obliges social networks and e-mail services store personal data of Russian users only on servers that are located on the territory of our country.

In September, Russian lawmakers approved an amendment to accelerate the entry into force of the instrument. According to the adopted bill approved earlier rules will take effect from January next year.
