Over the past year the reservoir received only 10 percent of the water.
Center “Antistikhiya” EMERCOM of Russia has published data on the state of flow of water in the reservoirs of Russia over the past year. According to studies, the smallest inflow of water in spring floods was registered to Volgograd reservoir , it was only 10 percent of normal .
Significantly lower was also the flow of water all reservoirs Vollzhsko-Kama cascade, but the most difficult situation in Ivankovo, Uglich, Cheboksary reservoirs, where the inflow was only 35-40 percent of normal as well as in the Saratov Reservoir, where the inflow amounted to 25 percent of normal. In addition, only 40 percent from the norm was the inflow of water to Tsimlyanskoe Reservoir .
It should be noted that the problem of water shortage was acute in the Volgograd region throughout the summer. The regional authorities have developed a program of watering Volga-Akhtuba floodplain, in which the water paths throughout the season carried water injection. Moreover, it was the work of clearing eriks and small rivers in the region.
