Baby names: which is better - creativity and simplicity? - BBC Russian

New Zealand authorities published a list of 77 “forbidden” baby names, which the government considered offensive or too extravagant. In this country, parents have to negotiate with the authorities in the name of the child.

One of the most popular names in the “forbidden” list – Justice, which in the case of non-interference of the authorities could be called the 62 children.
Also in the list of “forbidden” names were Messiah, Lucifer, do not be afraid of the Mafia and the Point.

In 2008, the New Zealand Court obliged to rename a nine-year girl named Talula dancing the hula from Hawaii because of concerns that it could become an object of ridicule.
