American rover Curiosity on Mars has found evidence of the existence there freshwater lake. Jet Propulsion Laboratory experts analyzed the soil and today announced the results of research. They found that the lake was in the crater Gale more than three and a half billion years ago.
particles in samples found minerals, sulfur, nitrogen, and other substances. This means that the water was fresh water and, in theory, suitable for microbial life level.
According to researchers, the lake existed for several thousand years.
