New international crew arrived at the ISS – Ekho Moskvy radio station

The delivery successfully implemented the Russian “Soyuz”. However, not without incident.

The launch vehicle “Soyuz” manned spacecraft launched from the Baikonur space center shortly after midnight. The flight was carried out by the so-called truncated scheme: less than 6 hours freighter docked to the International Space Station. Everything went normally. However, even when you run the “Union” did not open one of the two solar panels. Experts managed to quickly deal with the problem. On the flight and docking of the incident has not affected, according to a test cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin suggested that the problem with a solar battery may be associated with impaired
production technology. He recalled that the same thing happened last year and demanded from the leadership of the Russian Space Agency to draw this to the utmost attention.
spacecraft delivered to the ISS the crew of the 45th expedition. It consists of a Russian commander Oleg Kononenko – this is an experienced astronaut and two newcomers – flight engineers – Japanese and American Kimia Yui Chell Lindgren. They need to work on the ISS for five months. The expedition was planned in May, but it was postponed after Russia failed launch a similar carrier rocket “Soyuz” on April 28.

Currently, the stations are already participants of the 44th expedition of Gennady Padalka, Mikhail Kornienko and Scott Kelly.
