Blocked sites in Russia are often immediately move to other web addresses. Under current rules the Moscow City Court, in ruling on blocking pirated site, does not automatically block new address and, therefore, rightholders have to submit a new claim. At the meeting holders and Roskomnadzor last week decided to develop a bill that would equate the “mirror” sites blocked, writes Izvestia.

May 1, 2015 in Russia come into force amendments to the law on piracy, prescribing a lifetime blocking sites after repeated violations of copyright.
