U.S. probe Voyager-1 passed the boundary of the solar system and out into interstellar space. He spent 36 years in space. According to astrophysicist Mark Svisdak the University of Maryland, for the first time mankind has been able to get out of the cradle of the solar system, to explore the galaxy.
According to American scientists, Voyager-1 is outside the heliosphere – the space, experiencing the influence of the Sun and stretches for a distance of 13 billion miles from the star.
As recalled by the “Interfax”, before scientists conducted a serious debate about what kind of position on the solar system takes Voyager-1 in outer space.
Voyager-1 was launched into space on March 5, 1977. The original mission of the probe was to explore Jupiter and Saturn. Voyager-1 made the first detailed images of the satellites of the planets. Despite the end of the planned period of operation, Voyager-1 is on a mission to determine the boundaries of the solar system.
