On the separatist-controlled territory of Luhansk and Donetsk regions in the east Ukraine finished unrecognized by the international community, but to support Russia elections.
President Poroshenko called the elections a “farce under the muzzles of tanks and machine guns,” and urged Russia not to recognize their results.
Moscow also advance announced that recognizes the legitimacy of the results of voting on the separatist-controlled areas.
The Ukrainian authorities have reported that the voting took place against the background of “intense”, in their words, movements of military equipment across the Russian border.
