Parallel universes really exist and interact, says a team of scientists from the University of California at Davis and Griffith University , Australia. “This interaction may explain all the strangeness of quantum mechanics” – they say.

Quantum mechanics is needed to explain the functioning of the universe at the microscopic level. But among scientists has been considerable debate about the meaning of all this data.

The theory of “multiple interacting worlds,” proposed by a team led by Professor Howard Wiseman of the University of Griffin brings to the debate a new perspective.

According to the scientists, their model of interacting worlds can recreate some quantum phenomena – Theory Ehrenfest propagation of wave packets, tunneling through the potential barrier, the zero-point energy – as a direct consequence of the mutual repulsion of parallel worlds.

Dr Michael Hall, one of the study’s authors, said that the theory of “multiple interacting worlds” creates incredible opportunities verify the existence of other worlds, “… if there is only one world, the theory reduces to Newtonian mechanics if a huge number of worlds – quantum mechanics plays. ”
