Scientists have taken an important step on the way to solving one of the major mysteries of the universe – dark matter, which is believed to fill most of the space.
The experts working on the project Dark Energy Survey, using a powerful telescope in the Andes have been able to create a map showing the distribution of dark matter. It can be seen more turns dark matter, galaxies and studded with separation of the free space.
The program “BibiSeva” Irina Schreber Teker physicist engaged in scientific experiments in high-energy physics laboratory CERN near Geneva, spoke Seva Novgorodtsev how hard physicists understand what dark matter, which can not see or touch, and whether there are prospects for use of dark energy in the future for human needs.
