Altai State University researchers found that the age
 Teletskoye Lake is 37.5 thousand years. It turned out to 1.5 thousand years
 older than previously thought, according to TASS quoted the dean of the geographical
 Faculty of Altai State University, Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor Gennady Baryshnikov.

 

«Research Teletskoye lake held no one
 decade. But the question of its origin and age of the end has not been resolved. IN
 Last year we finally managed to decipher the time of his education
 using modern technologies », – said the representative of the university.

 

For the study used fiber-luminescent analysis.
 In 1939, the age of the mountain reservoir with the help of mathematical calculations were
 identified as 36 thousand. years.

 

The results of their research, scientists will present at the Altai
 Russia’s first International Conference of geomorphology, which opened in
 Altai State University. The participants were leading scientists from 24 countries – Australia,
 Belgium, Brazil, Britain, Germany, Israel, Spain, Canada, USA,
 France and others. The conference will last until July 4 and July 5 foreign
 experts will travel to Lake Teletskoye.
