The unique device designed specifically for the Russian Space Agency. The anthropomorphic robot is used on the international space station. “Hand” will install on the outside of the bead to without departing astronauts to repair and other works.

The robot consists of two parts: the production of the 3D-printer hand and glove with sensors attached to it. Enough to put on a glove and arm will repeat all the movements of the hand.

– The controller reads the data from the sensors and sends them to the control system model of the hand, the second controller controls the right arm – said “RG” project leader Yegor Shelomentsev . – All information is transmitted over the wireless network.

However, according to students, they have invented a robot can be useful to man, not only in space but also in everyday life. For example, the arm can be used as a training device for patients who need to repair muscle activity after a stroke or surgery.

– If the glove is put on a good hand, and on the patient to make an overlay, then repeat the movement of one hand, arm will help stretch the muscles and restore their tone, – the press service of innovative enterprises of Tomsk region.

Touch “hand” can also be useful in construction and industry. With the help of a robot can perform work on remote objects.
