New history textbooks: Mongol-Tatar yoke was not – a REGNUM

Prepared by the Russian Historical Society single standard will be the basis of new textbooks, which, as pointed out in February 2013, Russian President Vladimir Putin, to be deprived of internal contradictions.

«We will have a single historical and cultural standard on which will be developed based on the history books. This does not mean that there will be only one textbook, “- said Lebanon. According to him, all the books will be written by the mandatory social and professional expertise.

We recall that in February 2013, Vladimir Putin said that the need for history textbooks, which will be devoid of internal contradictions and double interpretations. Subsequently, the Russian Historical Society has developed and approved a common historical and cultural standard. As stated “Kommersant” Director of the Institute of World History, Alexander Chubaryan in May, in the development of standard historians proceeded from the fact that the fresh date should be described as objectively as possible all the “hard questions” of national history, the majority of which occur in XX century.

The document will form the basis metodichek for history teachers and new textbooks – a new story, as stated in the Ministry of Education, had to start teaching since September 1 of the current year. However, so far it is not clear whether to start receiving new textbooks to Russian schools.

The concept of the new educational complex in the country’s history was presented in the summer of 2014, it is available on the website of the Russian Historical Society. According to the document, will be replaced some of the terms that have been generally accepted in the USSR, or immediately in the first years after its collapse. So, instead of the Mongol-Tatar yoke in the concept refers to the system according to the Russian lands from the Horde khans (eg, the Horde’s yoke).

Events in October 1917 that the Soviet Union was called the Great October Socialist Revolution, and after 1991 – the October revolution, will now be known as The Great Russian 1917 Revolution.

Recent historical events referred to in the concept occurred in 2014 is the Winter Olympics in Sochi and the agreement on the adoption of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol to Russia.
