Cllupus: man’s best friend – St. Petersburg and the World

More than 50 years the US Geological Survey Officer David Sword studied wolves. Half a century later, he dispelled many myths. In particular, the zoologist said that wolves – not man’s foes.

They attack humans only as a last resort. For example, when there is no food or people is a threat to them. In addition, they, though sometimes ill with rabies, pose no threat to people and in this regard – rabies in wolves and humans today manages more effectively than ever before.

Wolves can control the vast territory, destroying them all game, but the attack in the first place on the weak or sick animals.

In heraldry the wolf can symbolize devotion to family and family values, the ability to stand up for their home. Wolf also could appear on the arms of the European kind, erecting their origins to the werewolf.
