Scientists: reducing the price of alcohol will increase the level of mortality – PiterBurger.ru

Domestic scientists and sociologists have come to the conclusion that the decrease in the price of alcohol, which is stipulated in the State Duma, could lead to a spike in mortality among the population of the Russian Federation. To this inference researchers came after the results of some experiments.

It is necessary to give our readers some of the figures. So, for example, in the period from 2005 to 2013-th (inclusive) mortality mortality was reduced almost by half. Just a year in Russia recorded about 2.5 million deaths, whereas now the figure is around 1.8 million deaths per year. As for the deaths as a result of the direct effect of alcohol on the human body, these figures are significantly reduced. The number of deaths from alcohol poisoning decreased by 30 thousand people a year.

The study shows that Russia has always noticeable clear link between the level of sales of alcohol and mortality among the population. Therefore, according to scientists, it is necessary not only to prevent a decrease in prices for “poison for humanity”, but also to tighten the implementation of the product, extending the “curfew” ban on the sale of alcohol from 20:00 to 11:00.
