It is expected that the new structure will be headed by the current lead ACCD Igor Komarov. In any case, the Prime Minister Medvedev appointed him to the post for a transitional period.

The new company will perform two functions – administrative and economic. Reform space industry began in 2013, when there were several accidents during the launches of spacecraft. For example, the rocket “Proton” was not

able to put into orbit three GLONASS satellites. As a result of reforms, appeared ACCD: it included the major companies within the industry. And for Roskosmos were scientific institutions and organizations of terrestrial infrastructure. The new structure will be the eighth state corporation in a row. They are generally not subject to the provisions of the Bankruptcy and conducting public procurement, and they are accountable only to the government.
