International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, IUPAC verified chemical elements with atomic numbers 113, 115, 117 and 118. They are now officially included in the periodic system of chemical elements. Until now, these elements were not the most graceful “working” title ununtrium (Uut), Ununpentium (Uup), Ununseptium (Uus) and ununoctium (Uuo), but within the next five months of the discoverers of elements can give them a new and final name.

Thus, to date, we verified all the elements of the seventh period of the table. In 2011 it was added to the 114th and 116th elements called Flerov and Livermore.
The pioneers of three of the four new elements – the 115th, 117th and 118go – called on Russian scientists from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, as well as their American colleagues from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee. The right to open the 113th member by the decision of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, recognized for Japanese scientists from the Institute of Natural Sciences RIKEN.
The new elements, as well as all having an atomic number of 93 or more, obtained artificially: 115th – in 2003, the 113th – in 2004, the 118th – in 2006 and the 117th – in 2009.
113th element, being the first in the Mendeleev’s table, produced in Japan, can get the name of “Japan”. Also sounded a proposal previously called 117-th element “Muscovy».
The original version of the table, which establishes the dependence of the properties of elements from their atomic weights, was developed by Dmitri Mendeleev in 1869-1871 years. At that time, it was known only 63 chemical elements. Today, it is assumed that they exist at least 126, and 118 of them being considered proven.
