View from the mountain orbit Sharpe – InFuture.ru – Feel the future!

Martian intelligence apparatus showed the place where, finally got the rover “Curiosity”.

As we reported earlier monophonic American rover “Curiosity”, made a long march, finally got to the first major research objectives of their mission – Mountain Eolida, which is also known as a mountain Sharpe (its original, but not the actual name) .

Mountain Eolida is the central peak of the crater Gale on the planet Mars. The mountain is located on a 5.4 ° lat. sh. 137.8 ° in. d., and rises to 5.5 kilometers.

August 6, 2012 near this mountain (in the northern part of Gale Crater, on the plain of Aeolis Palus) just landed a rover NASA Curiosity.

The new image, made using the Mars Orbiter Camera MRO, shows what happens to the central peak Eolida orbit and landing of the rover in a giant impact crater Gale.
