2014 in Russia was one of the warmest in the last 125 years
Experts Russian Hydrometcenter found that 2014 was one of the warmest years in the history of meteorological observations.
The researchers analyzed the temperature regime of the Northern Hemisphere in 2014 and came to the result that the past year was the second warmest year in the last 125 years.
The hottest year in the history of meteorological observations considered in 2010. Then the mean annual temperature anomaly was 0.77 degrees, which is 0.02 degrees higher than in 2014.
The record high temperature in 2014 was fixed in Russia, Mongolia and China. The average annual temperature record beaten Europe, also close to the record figures were recorded in North Africa.
It should be emphasized that the ten warmest years in the history of meteorological observations in Russia, nine belong to the XXI century. In 2014, the average annual temperature in Russia was close to normal only in the west Siberian Federal District, as well as in the Urals and the Volga region. Negative anomalies in 2014 in Russia were not recorded.
