Canadian scientists have taught the computer to win in poker – BBC Russian

Scientists from the University of Alberta in Canada have created a program, ability to win a person poker – though so far only in one version of this card game.

Its creators claim that they found the algorithm ensures that the probability of a wrong turn at the machine is reduced to almost zero.

However, while artificial intelligence is able to beat a man in the game of Texas Hold ‘em one by one and fixed limit betting.

The difficulty in creating a program to play poker because unlike chess, where computers long ago learned to overcome human poker is a game with “incomplete information” – that is, the computer does not know what cards were in the hands of an opponent.
