Defense Ministry: Kapustin Yar almost ready for full-scale testing of robots – Sight

The official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry on the Strategic Missile Forces, Major Dmitry Andreev said that the preparation for at Kapustin Yar near Astrakhan full-scale testing of integrated mobile robotic systems is completed.

Now the structure of Kapustin Yar, there are four basic scientific research and testing units for testing in the interests of the Ground Forces, Navy, Air Force Strategic Missile Forces and EKO, as well as a research unit of mathematical data processing and information exchange.

In April representative of the Strategic Missile Forces reported that the species Kapustin Yar from this year will be used for the test, including robotic systems. On one of them, it was announced around the same time: mobile shock-reconnaissance robotic system for military use (RTOs BH) was developed Izhevsk Radio for parts of the Strategic Missile Forces, equipped with mobile missile system “Topol-M” and “yars”, and is designed to protect mobile SMF grouping.

In July, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Russia is preparing for mass production of robotic systems for military use and equip their forces.
