Apple made VKontakte remove the background listening to music on the iPhone – Ferra

As reported edition of “News”, a team of social network VKontakte was forced to disable the background music in a mobile application for iOS. Simply put, with the screen off, or when displaying a different application screen music from VKontakte is now no longer possible to listen to, if you update the application on the iPhone to the latest version.

 Note that the last time the app in the App Store VKontakte updated May 15 and of the changes stated only the “Fixed”. The disappearance of such an important function as a background playback without warning caused quite natural indignation of users.

George Lobushkin, a spokesman for VKontakte told the following: “The latest version of the service is turned off playing music in the background. This was a prerequisite for Apple, to update the application passed moderation in the App Store. However, in the near future, we expect to return this feature when you run the new features associated with playing in the background. ”
