Access to the Wi-Fi networks in public places will be on the passport. The corresponding decree was published on the website of the government of Russia. “Identification is carried out by the operator by setting the name, surname, patronymic (if any) the user confirms the identity document” – the document says. In addition, user information, including name, first name, details of the identity document, as well as information on the amount and time of service delivery, the operator must be stored for six months. “Customers service provider under the contract for the provision of services will be required to provide the operator with a list of persons using the connection to the network, and their passport details,” – says the decision.
