Moscow authorities have promised to keep anonymous Wi-Fi in the subway and parks – of Polit.ru

A government decree on the user authentication Wi-Fi in public places will not affect access to the parks and subway. On it informs “Interfax” referring to the Department of Information Technology in Moscow.

According to the Department of Elena Novikova, under these restrictions are subject only Wi-Fi hotspots in public access points operating within the framework of universal service. She assured that in the near future to connect to wireless internet in parks and subway users do not need any documents.

Earlier it was reported that Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree effectively denying access to open networks Wi- Fi on an anonymous basis.

In addition, the text of the document had been prescribed changes in contracts that telecom operators concluded with legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. Now such subscribers have to provide operators a list of persons who will use the connection.
