MOSCOW, November 28 – RIA Novosti . After studying the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings in southern Egypt with the help of modern technology, scientists with greater confidence claim the possible detection of the tomb of Queen Nefertiti, reports Reuters.

The scientists checked the sensational theory of British archaeologist Nicholas Reeves, who suggested that the lost tomb of one of the greatest and most beautiful queens of ancient Egypt Nefertiti, who died ten years before the tragic death of his adopted son of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, is behind the false north wall of the tomb of Tutankhamun.

In this, according to Reeves, indicates a lot of facts, including the continuing of the north wall of the ceiling, which indicates a secret chamber previously is likely part of a single funeral hall. According to Reeves, after the sudden death of a young 19-year-old pharaoh, who reigned only nine years old, he was buried in the tomb of the adoptive mother as his own tomb for him to build did not have time.

“We have previously said that the likelihood that beyond the walls there is something, is 60%. But now, after an initial study of the results of the scan, we say with 90 percent certainty that behind the walls is something “- said the minister of antiquities and cultural heritage of Egypt Mamdouh administrative Damato.

“Judging by the radar, which is very accurate, the wall is an empty space, there is no doubt,” – commented the Japanese specialist Hirokatsu Watanabe.

The new data obtained the scan will be used for analysis in Japan. It is expected that the final results will be announced within a month.

Almost untouched by robbers Tutankhamun’s tomb discovered by archaeologists Howard Carter in 1922. This discovery was one of the major sensations in Egyptology for all time. Nefertiti, which is considered the foster mother and the wife of Tutankhamen Pharaoh Akhenaten, was one of the most powerful and beautiful women of her time. Scientists still have not been able to unravel the mystery of the resting place of Queen, whose name translates as “Beautiful has come”.
