Moscow State University took third place in the ranking of the best universities in the BRICS countries – Arguments and Facts

Moscow, December 3 – AiF-Moscow.

Moscow State University named after MV University took third place in the ranking of the best universities in the BRICS countries according to the magazine Times Higher Education.

In the first and second place Chinese universities – Peking University and Tsinghua University. Just a list of this year turned 18 Russian universities.

Earlier, the Moscow State University took 65th place in the top 100 universities in the prestigious ranking of the objective Times Higher Education 2015-2016 by Subject in the “Engineering and Technology”.

MSU Rector Academician Viktor Sadovnichy noted that the MSU is to achieve a very important and honorable, because college is a classic university.

«Of course, we work in the field of engineering and technology, but takes mainly fundamental tasks. Nevertheless, we are among the best universities in the world, “- said the rector.

Other Russian universities in the top 100 are not logged in.

The universities are evaluated in the ranking of 13 indicators grouped in five categories: education, scientific research, citations, internationalization and innovation.
