On the assurances of scientists, astrologers, on the night of 4th to 5th January 2016 the inhabitants of the planet Earth will be able to watch Star rain – one of the most beautiful and spectacular natural phenomena. And the cause of this phenomenon, which can be observed until dawn on January 5, and, to the naked eye, will serve as a meteoroid stream Quadrantids. However, to get the maximum effect from the spectacle, experts recommend to leave the city, where there is such a powerful electric light, which can slightly retouched colorful spectacle.
In this context, it is worth noting that the Quadrantids called a meteor shower, which can be observed every year in the beginning of January. Thus one hour observations can be seen from 50 to 200 meteorites burning in the atmosphere. But interestingly, the Quadrantids are the product of the asteroid 2003 EN1, also called “rocky comet”, which in 2003 was discovered by astronomer Peter Jenniskens. In other words, the Quadrantids not originate from fragments of comets, most of the meteor showers.
According to « Russian newspaper », in January of this year, all rich in variety cosmic phenomena. As early as January 7 it will be possible to watch as Venus and Saturn almost merge into one point, and on 17 January dangerously close to the Earth fly away Comet Catalina. And the apogee of the first month of a leap year will be the parade of planets – January 31 in a row lined up Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and the Moon.
