For several years, scientists have been tracking how the man spent time biologically pledged to sleep. We took into account age, gender, and even a light daily schedule of the people in different parts of the world.
It was found that the average amount of sleep in the world ranges from at least 7 hrs 24 minutes in Singapore and Japan maximum of 8 hours 12 minutes in the Netherlands. Most often lack of sleep occurs in middle-aged men. The fairer sex sleep, with average of 30 minutes longer.
According to the researchers, in 48 minutes the difference is quite significant – even a lack of sleep for half an hour can have a huge impact on cognitive function and health. In particular, short sleep can cause obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and other ailments.
