According to the head of Roskosmos Igor Komarov, Russian cosmodrome Vostochny will cost at about $ 180 billion. Only launcher infrastructure object demanded 120 billion rubles. Naturally, every building should have a payback period, the more an object such as the launch site, pulled on such a “round” sum, that is, the spaceport has to “earn” money. In this connection, Russia has this year signed contracts for 31 commercial launch their rockets.
The lion’s share of launches will be performed with the help of carrier rockets “Soyuz”. Almost all of the rocket is scheduled to launch from the Baikonur East in the years 2018-2019.
It should be noted that the Centre Khrunichev also concluded several contracts for launches, while the production cost was reduced rockets «Proton».
According to Igor Komarov, reducing the cost of “Proton” – is one of the results of reforming production. It is particularly noteworthy that this is happening at a time when inflation in the country is 11% per year. According to the head of Roscosmos, the conclusion of contracts with foreign companies – it’s all a gift of fate, a landmark breakthrough. This is understandable in the light of the fact that over the last three years has not been concluded any contract for the launches of “Proton”. All this testifies to the fact that foreign companies now observe the seriousness of the Khrunichev Center, understand that serious work is carried out, aimed not only at improving the efficiency, but also to improve the quality of products and production processes. Such a conclusion was made by the head of the Russian Space Agency Igor Komarov.
