Moscow State University headed the list of universities in developing countries in Europe and Central Asia – RBC

State University took first place in the ranking of universities in developing countries in Europe and Central Asia, compiled by the British company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).

The second place went to Novosibirsk State University, and the third – the Czech Charles University. Also in the top ten universities in Estonia and Poland.

Russian universities in the top 150 most – the rating includes 48 local schools. Turkey in the list of 16 universities, Kazakhstan – 14, from Poland – 12. Also in the list of 10 Czech and Ukrainian universities 9.

The company QS, specializing in educational ratings, start making a list of universities in Europe and in developing countries Central Asia in the past year. The first ranking is also headed by the Moscow State University.

In the global list compiled by QS, the MSU takes the 108th place. In the first hundred global ranking Russian universities are not logged in.

The most important indicators for the methodology of the ranking are the academic reputation of the university, opinions about them to employers, as well as the ratio of students and staff. The total weight of these indicators in the assessment of 65%.

Earlier in October, published a list of the best universities in the world by Times Higher Education. Among the Russian universities of Moscow State University showed the best result, finishing 161 th place. He headed the list of California University of Technology, and its closest competitors are Oxford and Stanford universities.
