RIGA, October 22 – RIA Novosti. The man who on Thursday attacked a school in the Swedish town of Trollhattan, was armed with two axes, said Thursday in an interview with Latvian media press officer of the Metropolitan Police Stefan Gustafsson .
“At about ten in the morning we received a call from the school about a man who came to the school and brought the two axes, one large and one small. Then we heard about the victims. The police came to the school in five or Six minutes after the call, and they had to kill the suspect. Now there is an investigation, at the moment we have no information about his motives, “- said Gustafsson.
Earlier, the Swedish media reported that on Thursday morning a young man in a mask in whose hands “was a large knife or something similar to the sword,” went into the cafe, referring to the school in Trollhattan, and wounded four people – two adults and two boys 12 and 15 years. One of the adults, who was a teacher, and one teenager died. According to police, the attacker was 20 years old.
It is known that the school – municipal, 400 students in it. There are no threats to the school or the students registered. The school will be closed on Friday.
