MSU denied the need to coordinate with the FSB scientific publications – RBC

Scientists MSU agree not scientific publications with the FSB, told Interfax head of the science policy and organization of research university Andrei Fedyanin.

So the pro-rector of Moscow State University commented on recent media reports that employees of the university you need to coordinate their scientific publications with the security services.

A new request to the Russian scientists wrote the British journal Nature. According to the newspaper, before the meeting of the Academic Council on October 5 scientists working at MSU, “recalled that in accordance with current legislation, they have to get permission to publish or participate in the conference, regardless of whether it is domestic or international.” The magazine pointed out that these words recorded in the minutes of the meeting.

Nature claims that rumors of such a practice in respect of scientific papers went after the amendments to the presidential decree on the list of information classified as a state secret.
