Guinea announced the latest cure Ebola cases in the country – BBC Russian

Government of the Republic of Guinea announced a cure last registered media ebola virus. On Tuesday, the 19-day baby, the former the latter country carrier of the virus, was discharged from the hospital in the capital, Conakry.

According to the official representative of the focal point for anti-virus, before discharge the baby twice been tested on Ebola and appeared healthy. The infant contracted the virus in the womb of his mother. The woman could not be disinfected.

Guinea became the last of the West African countries, today announced that the Ebola virus on its territory eradicated. It is in Guinea two years ago, an outbreak of the virus, which killed 11 thousand people. Guinea and neighboring Sierra Leone and Liberia are affected by the virus more than any other African country.

Liberia was declared free of the virus at the end of September, Sierra Leone – in early November.
