The world’s leading scientists said that premature birth often leads low rise women.
In the course of his large-scale study world scientists found out that the low growth women in case of pregnancy might entail a premature birth. At the same time the University of Auckland specialists claim that this factor should be considered as one of the key.
The specialists were carefully analyzed data collected over the period of 1991-2009 years. Experts have found out, in particular, that the probability of the birth of a premature baby is increased if the expectant mother does not rise more than 1.55 centimeters.
According to the study, 9.4 percent of children born before the time when term pregnancy, women accounted for less than 37 weeks. About 1.1 percent of babies are born prematurely in the period of 32 weeks. Moreover, among the highest moms data figures are 4.7 and half a percentage point, respectively, experts said.
Recall premature birth are considered at the moment the problem of one of the most common. And the main danger is that they often end with a lethal outcome of the mother or the baby, or one of them.
There are situations, of course, also due to the specific health problems of women in childbirth. In New Zealand, for example, in 2014, the year before the term was born more than four thousand children. Scientists say that the situation has not yet been investigated to the end, but it is known that such problems mostly occur primarily because of various anatomical barriers.
About half of all premature births are “spontaneous” happening on set of reasons that are not fully understood, – said study leader Dr. Jose Derreyk. – Mother’s growth – is only one of the factors, among which also ethnicity, income level and other
In the current study, all the women were Scandinavian and with respect to the same level of income
-.. Previous work suggests that one of the causes of preterm birth among mothers of small stature can be anatomical restrictions. Their body simply less room for the development of the child, – said Jose Derreyk.
