At the end of February, Xinhua news agency reported, citing sources, that China plans to launch the second orbital module “Tiangong-2″ in the third quarter of 2016. This module must be docked with cargo spacecraft “Tyanchzhou-I” (Tianzhou-I), scheduled for launch in the first half of 2017. Starting module “Tiangong-2″ will focus on life-sustaining technology testing for future space station.

According to Liang Jianlin, the astronauts will stay in the “Shenzhou-the XI” and the module “Tiangong-2″ a total of 30 days.

The newspaper writes that the main module of its space station, “Tianhe-I” (Tianhe-I) will be launched for testing of appropriate technology in 2018, as previously planned. It is planned that the plant will begin full operation in 2022.
