Yaroslavl schoolgirl took silver European Mathematical Olympiad – REGNUM

Yaroslavl, April 18, 2016, 14:31 – REGNUM Student of school number 33 in Yaroslavl Alexander Sonin won the silver medal of the European mathematical Olympiad for girls. It is reported by the government of Yaroslavl region.

Olympics held in Romania from 10 to 16 April, 147 girls from 38 countries took part in it.

In addition to Alexandra Sonya, the tournament represented Russia schoolgirl from Izhevsk, Moscow and St. Petersburg. Russians became the absolute leader of the Olympiad, noted in the regional government.

Yaroslavl students traditionally score high marks in math competitions. Earlier this year the medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad in Romania, won a student of 10th class Rybinsk Lyceum №2 Egor boar. Last year, Yaroslavl became the winners of the tournament XIX mathematical seniors’ Cup memory Kolmogorov, “All-Russian Olympiad in mathematics, the All-China Women’s Mathematical Olympiad and the Bulgarian National Mathematical Olympiad.
