Roskosmos will create a company of satellite imagery of the Earth – Aviation EXplorer

June 18, AEX.RU – Roscosmos plans to create a single point of service delivery of remote sensing (RS), the disposal of which will go all the Russian spacecraft engaged in shooting the earth’s surface, according to RIA Novosti.

 

 

 

 According to information, this structure will form on the basis of the Scientific Center for Earth Operative Monitoring (NTs OMZ), which now operates as part of the “Russian Space Systems”.

 

 

 

 “The goal – to grow a powerful player in the market of remote sensing terms of the world market. The draft Federal Space Program (FCP) for the years 2016-2025 is planned to significantly increase the part of the Russian group of remote sensing, increase the size of the satellite fleet to two dozen spacecraft,” – said the source in the Roskosmos.

 

 

 

 He added that the market commercially attractive, but to do reap the significant benefits are needed organizational changes, which will occur this year. According to the Russian Federal Space Agency, the National Remote Sensing Centre will participate in the formation of the state order for the creation of new remote sensing spacecraft.

 

 

 

 Federal Space Agency has launched a spacecraft ERS high spatial resolution “Resurs-P” number 2 and continues to deploy a geographically distributed national information system for receiving, processing, storage and dissemination of remote sensing data.

 

 

 

 Geospatial information obtained with the help of remote sensing satellites, a data area and the objects located on the Earth’s surface in the subsurface of the Earth, the surface layer of the Earth’s atmosphere and near-Earth space.
